Corey Pontz
Creative Principal
Corey Pontz, Creative Principal, founded CWP in her laundry room in 2008. From its modest beginnings, Corey has grown the company into a thriving enterprise by constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
Enamored with design since grade school, Corey studied Graphic Design at Skidmore College and has been following her passion ever since. She has worked with over 300 brands, both stateside and internationally, showcasing an innate ability to pinpoint the “it” factor of a job. Her studio’s work has been featured in multiple publications and blogs.
In her disarmingly friendly way, Corey identifies the heart of a project, ensuring strategic direction translates into high-caliber design.
Corey has served on the executive board of AIGA. She has lectured at several universities and formerly taught as an Adjunct Professor at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and Architecture. She is a Level C Certified Brand Strategist under the instruction of Marty Neumeier. When she’s not working, you can find her cheering at her kids’ sporting events, indulging in a captivating podcast, or whipping up some of her famous guacamole.
Strike a Balance
“My biggest lesson learned as an adjunct professor is that teaching is not a one-way street. I learned how to think about a better work-life balance through the eyes of my students. There’s a difference between making time and finding time– in order to successfully refuel yourself, self-care should be a priority, not an afterthought.”
