It’s a great thing when a client embraces some hand drawn (or in this case, watercolored) elements for their online marketing. This law firm sent their holiday email blast to inform their clients about their holiday donations to some really worth causes. Britt, our watercolor and hand-lettering guru, created some fun snowflakes for this digital New Year’s card.
The Health Federation of Philadelphia, along with Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and The California Endowment, had put together a really powerful publication of 14 stories depicting resilience in communities across the US. They were looking for a cover to this piece that really captured what was being addressed within its pages. We worked with the talented illustrator, James Olstein, to execute the cover design. The scene on the cover depicts different types of neighborhoods. A few featured houses appear to be open and word bubbles emerge from within. This cover was debuted at the MARC (Mobilizing Action for Resilient Communities) 2017 National Summit.
In celebration of AIGA Philadelphia’s 35th Anniversary, 35 influential Philly designers were asked to contribute custom posters for this milestone event. The theme of the posters had to do with the role AIGA Philadelphia has had on the city and community. For my poster submission, I created a map of the Center City streets and filled the city blocks with AIGA communications, old and new. It was really neat to stitch together all of the previously created posters like a patchwork quilt. The result was a new design created by everlasting memories.
