Background
When a business grows more complex, its website should work harder to make that complexity easier to understand.
Legacy Companies is a holding company that owns and operates businesses serving essential human needs while also participating in strategic partnerships. As the organization grew, its structure became more layered, spanning wholly owned companies and partner-led investments across multiple divisions. The existing website did not clearly explain how these pieces fit together.
Challenge
Present a complex portfolio structure in a way that feels clear, credible, and intuitive.
Solution
A values-driven website that highlights the businesses, and the people, behind Legacy.
Results
A flexible business development and recruiting tool that reflects how Legacy operates today, and where it’s headed.

The Objective
Design a website that clearly explains Legacy’s portfolio and operating approach.
The goal was to create a more intentional digital presence that reflects the business as it exists today, helping visitors quickly understand what Legacy Companies does, how its businesses are organized, and where it invests. The experience needed to speak to investors, partners, banks, prospective employees, and the press without assuming prior familiarity.

Solution
A website focused on businesses and the people behind them, shaped by values.
Throughout the site, Legacy’s values are embedded into the experience rather than treated as an afterthought, reflecting how the company actually operates day to day. A disciplined layout, thoughtful hierarchy, and restrained visual system bring Legacy’s operating model into sharp focus and keep attention on the businesses themselves and the people behind them—supporting understanding without distraction.
The website reflects Legacy’s belief that how you operate matters just as much as what you own.

Challenges & Accommodations
Making visual sense of how Legacy and all of its pieces fit together.
Clear site architecture and content organization were necessary to explain Legacy itself as a business, as well as its layered ownership, since Legacy owns some businesses outright while participating in others through partnerships. A portion of the redesigned website is devoted to describing Legacy, while a dedicated Portfolio page provides more context on its investments by organizing operating companies and partnerships in one place. Culture and values are threaded throughout the site to demonstrate consistent operations across their businesses.

Outcomes
A digital foundation built to support growth and long-term relationships.
The new website gives Legacy Companies a more effective way to communicate its structure, values, and portfolio as it seeks to appeal to financial institutions and investors, and attract top talent. Visitors can quickly understand what the company owns and how it operates. Designed to evolve, the site supports ongoing growth, recruiting, and investment as Legacy continues to expand.
